Gavin

Husband to Kat, and father to Ashley, Angus and Phoebe.

We moved to New Zealand from Oxfordshire, UK in 2007, and have thoroughly enjoyed our life here on the Kapiti Coast. Experiencing many of the incredible opportunities and adventures that this great country has to offer.

I specialised in the field of farriery in the Household Cavalry, qualifiying with a BII Military Farrier qualification, and a Diploma of the Worshipful Company of Farriers.

The Worshipful Company of Farriers is an ancient London livery company operating within the financial heart of the city. It has been a great honour and privilage to have been welcomed as a Liveryman of the Company, and Citizen and Farrier of London.

I was employed as the Senior Farrier to H.H. the President, Shiekh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nayhan, at the Royal Stables, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

There, we managed multi-disciplinary farriery requirements, including racing, endurance, breeding, young stock, and surgical and remedial work.

I have operated my farriery business for many years, working in central London, Lincolnshire, Oxfordshire and the Kapiti Coast, New Zealand.

It has been a great privilege to have shod some amazing horses, for some incredible people. Making many good friends along the way.
